President Donald Trump played up his record on the economy at a rally in Green Bay over the weekend.PolitiFact Wisconsin puts a couple of claims thru the Truth-O-Meter . When Donald Trump was in the state last weekend in Green Bay, he made a lot of claims about how well the economy is doing including how low the poverty level is here in Wisconsin, Greg Borowski with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said. The claim he made was that the poverty level is the lowest it has been in 22 years. Wisconsin, Illinois Sued Over Transgender Name-Change LawsPolitiFact Wisconsin says the poverty rate has fluctuated over time with some years of improvement. The current poverty level per family is about 6.1%, Borowski said. Traditionally, final exams for first semester have been after the time off around Christmas. The schedule change eliminates the layoff before finals.Students said it felt nice returning to class. It feels like a stanley usa fresh start, something that s new and exciting to be a part of, said senior Elliyah Lock. Being off during the summer is great, said senior Deshauna Hughes, But you get bored sometimes. Plus, with the earlier start, we get done with high school earlier, Hughes said. • Cfyx Lawmakers Reach Deal on Economic Stimulus

Paul Solman answers questions from NewsHour viewers and web users on business and economic news on his Making Sen$e page. Here Tuesday query:Name: Gene H.Question: Do you have a current opinion about the direction of the six-month LIBOR I ;m torn between refinancing my mortgage to a fixed rate or keeping the ridiculously low LIBOR ARM loan stanley cup I have. Paul Solman: First off, Gene, let do some background explanation to make sure readers know what you ;re aski stanley cup ng. The six-month LIBOR the London Inter-Bank Offering Rate, pronounced LIE-bore is the interest rate that banks in London charge one another to borrow money for six months. An ARM is an Adjustable Rate Mortgage, which adjusts to some common interest rate, quite often, LIBOR. The six-month LIBOR as I write is .587 percent. So if Gene ARM is LIBOR plus 2.5 percent, say, the total annual cost is almost 3.1 percent. For this year. If six-month LIBOR were going to steeply rise to more than 1.5 percent, say, then locking in a 30-year rate of 4 percent would make sense, since the ARM would reset at 1.5 LIBOR plus the contractual 2.5. Hence Gene question.I can ;t answer it, of course. It was to just such a question about the direction of interest rates stanley cup , at a journalism conference in 1988, that the late Harvard economist and economics popularizer John Kenneth Galbraith responded: There are two kinds of economists; those who don ;t know the future and Rimx How a Little-Known Law Aims to Keep the Screws on Iran

What is the glass cliff The term, coined by University of Exeter professors Michelle Ryan and Alex Haslam Prior, is used to describe situations in which women are more likely to be appointed to leadership roles during a decline or chaotic moment. Its most often used to describe scenarios in the business world. Glass cliff purposefully plays off the far more familiar term glass ceiling, used to describe obstacles that confront women and minorities as they try to advance professionally. The glass cliff goes further to describe what happens when a woman steps into a senior role that is somehow risky or precarious, and when she is nevertheless subsequently blamed for the outcome.
